What You Need For Homemade Fries
Supplies Needed:
*Cutting Board
*Knife
*Large Bowl
*Large Frying/Sauté Pan
*Tongs
Ingredients:
*Potatoes
*Beef Tallow
*Salt
Note: I have tried this with fat fries and skinny fries. The texture on fat fries is outstanding, but both are quite good. These fries make an excellent base for hamburger skillet.
The process is simple. Chop your potatoes into desired fry shape, then soak for 15-20 minutes. I only pull enough potatoes from the water to cook per batch, let the rest continue to soak until you’re ready to throw them on the stove. Pat dry the potatoes. Heat the beef tallow in your skillet, then add potatoes (add more tallow as needed). Cook potatoes until they’re a light golden brown, flip, and repeat. Pull fries from pan, and place on a plate covered with a paper towel to absorb any excess tallow. Salt to taste. Enjoy!
